VPS comparison for EA trading
An Expert Advisor needs to run 24/5 – even when your machine is off. A VPS keeps the platform online permanently and ideally sits in the same data centre as the broker server. Low latency and high uptime decide how much slippage you take and whether signals are missed. More background in the VPS for EAs guide. Some brokers even bundle a free VPS – see our broker reviews.

What to look for
- Proximity to the broker server (Equinix LD4 in London, NY4 in New York) – it drives real-world latency.
- Guaranteed uptime (99.9 %+) and redundant networking so your EA never goes dark.
- Dedicated CPU/RAM rather than oversold shared resources, especially with multiple charts.
- Windows licence included and round-the-clock support response times.
- Right location: the VPS should sit close to your broker’s server, not close to you.
