Verdict
Grid EA on Multi-Symbol, stop logic not checked individually. No live account on record, weakest point transparency: 5.4 out of 10.
Distributed grid system by William Brandon Autry that coordinates several nodes across terminals, brokers and accounts while tracking overall exposure. For MT4/MT5, sold directly by the vendor for $997.97.
Suits you if …
- ●Yes: you set an account stop and stick to it
- ●Yes: your account has room for several positions open at once
- !Caution: you run no second grid EA on the same markets
- –No: not for prop challenges with a daily loss limit
- !Caution: you start small, since no live account is on record

How the strategy trades
Schematic · no market dataSchematic of the Grid strategy type: it explains the process, not the outcome. No prices, no real market data, no performance of BYRDI.
How it works
- The EA buys and lays a grid below: one more position every 20 pips, always 0.10 lots.
- All positions share one target just above the average price.
- Because they are all the same size, the average sits exactly in the middle: halfway back is break-even, and 5 pips above that the whole basket closes in profit.
- What the animation does not show: if price keeps running against the basket, the floating loss grows with every level – without a stop there is no built-in exit.
What we check
What we check on real grid EAs: the maximum floating loss on the live account, not the closed drawdown – and whether there is a hard stop for the whole basket.
Schematic with demonstration values: a simulated price path without prices, results in pips weighted to 0.10 lots, deliberately favourable. Not this EA’s market or settings, not a backtest and not investment advice.
Design & risk
BYRDI by William Brandon Autry is a Grid EA on Multi-Symbol (MT4/MT5), sold directly by the vendor. When price runs against the basket, the EA adds further positions. All positions close together once the average is in profit. That gives a calm curve while the market ranges; a trend that runs through takes back many small wins at once. Whether there is a hard stop per position we have not checked individually. You buy the vendor default; risk frame and setfile are up to you.
Stop logic not checked individually
If a trend runs out of the range, the open loss grows with every step. Whether the EA sets a hard stop per position we have not checked individually. Set an account stop, for example with an external drawdown guard.
Rather without a grid? The best-graded EAs without one, wherever they are sold:

Buying and running
Our interests: We earn no commission on BYRDI and link neither the vendor nor MQL5. ATS pays us a commission when you buy through the link to the alternatives. We develop our own EA, Dawnbreak. We have no stake in BYRDI. The grade is set beforehand and independently of that.

- How the EA does with real money. There is no live account on record. Manual and product page describe the intent, not the outcome.
- How the EA reacts to spread spikes at rollover. Not tested. With several positions open that is the delicate moment.

Frequently asked questions
Which markets does BYRDI trade?
Multi-Symbol. Several instruments only spread risk while they do not share a driver — correlated pairs go down together when it matters.
Which platform does BYRDI run on?
MT4/MT5. Continuous operation needs a VPS, because a sleeping machine leaves open positions unattended: VPS providers compared.
What does BYRDI cost?
997,97 USD (as of our last check). We take prices from the vendor, ATS or MQL5 product page, not from marketing copy — that often quotes different figures than the buy button.
Does BYRDI use grid or martingale?
Yes — the design is Grid. That means further orders are added when price runs against an open position, and there is usually no hard per-trade stop-loss. Such systems stay quiet for a long time and then take the loss all at once. How that works and how to spot the dangerous variant is in our guide to grid and martingale EAs.
How good is BYRDI?
Our grade: 5.4 out of 10. It comes from six criteria: risk control, verifiability, transparency, value for money, usability and broker independence. The sub-grades are computed by our data formula; criteria, weights and caps are the same for every EA, whoever sells it, and no EA vendor pays for ratings. The full calculation with every threshold is in our methodology.
Is there a verified live track for BYRDI?
No — we hold no live account for this specific EA that we could view. What we can place is the design and the vendor context. Without a documented account the evidence mark is low; how we weight that is in our methodology.
Changes to this review
- Second review by an AI agent (different model, blind): 2 of 6 criteria agree. Differences:
