What Gold Matrix Was
Gold Matrix was sold by TickStack, the label of MQL5 vendor Jesper Christensen, who is also behind ChronomaX, Neural Nexus and Aussie Victor. "Gold Matrix MT5" appeared on the MQL5 market in April 2025 for $50 (version 1.1), marketed as a "momentum-based strategy designed to track the activity of high-volume institutional traders" with "adaptive machine learning" and a win rate "over 95%". We ran the vendor version 6.01.
We write this review in the past tense because the product no longer exists: in September 2026 the MQL5 product page redirects to the market overview, and tickstack.io no longer lists Gold Matrix. In its place the vendor now promotes "Gold Neural Core", a "hyper-scaler" with up to 50 trades per session — with no mention of its predecessor.
The Path of Our Account
Gold Matrix ran on our own live account at IC Markets (MT5, XAUUSD H1). The waypoints from our Space Tracker and the EA park's weekly snapshots:
- 19 June 2026: balance $1,303, no open positions
- 16 July 2026: +33.9% gain, profit factor 1.72 — but already −57.3% maximum floating loss
- 27 July 2026: +78.4% gain, max floating loss unchanged at −57.3%
- 22 August 2026: equity $2.47 on a most recent capital base of $5,000, max equity drawdown 99.96%, max floating loss −87.2%
- 2 September 2026: account removed from the tracker
Between 27 July and 22 August the EA thus took an account that had just shown +78% practically to zero. That is not a drawdown, that is a margin call. Since September Gold Matrix runs with us only on a demo account for observation — after ten days +1% at −9% floating loss, which says nothing new about the design.
Why the Warning Sign Was Already There in July
The number one should have read is in the July snapshot: +34% gain at −57% floating loss. A system whose open positions put more than half the account underwater on the way to earning 34% is not trading momentum — it is holding against the move until the market comes back. On gold, which in 2026 runs several percent in days, the market eventually does not come back. That is exactly what happened in August.
We had described this pattern in our guide to grid and martingale EAs before it hit us ourselves: the balance curve looked immaculate until the last week. Anyone watching only the balance or a copy-trading return sees +78% and buys — which is exactly why we rate every EA by floating loss, not by gain (guide to the equity curve).
The second point is the description: "momentum-based" and "money flow" sound like trend-following with a stop. The behaviour in the trade log — rare entries, adds against the move, no effective stop — is that of a recovery grid. A description that does not match the behaviour is, to us, a graver defect than an honestly described martingale.
What This Says About the Vendor
TickStack is not an anonymous seller. Neural Nexus runs on calibrated accounts at ATS, ChronomaX in our own park, and Aussie Victor is one of our best live EAs. That makes the handling of Gold Matrix all the more striking: the product was quietly removed, with no notice to buyers, no explanation, no migration path. Anyone who paid $50 holds a licence for something that no longer exists. That is the reason for the 1.8 on transparency — and a caution worth keeping in mind for the successor, Gold Neural Core.
Who It Is (Not) For
Nobody. The product is no longer available, and should it resurface under a new name, remember: a gold EA showing +78% while its open positions sit at −57% is not an investment but a countdown. If you want a documented gold EA, the alternatives are in the gold EA guide — The Gold Reaper showed a maximum floating loss of 6% at +33% gain on our IC Markets account in July 2026.
Verdict
Gold Matrix is the blow-up case of our 2026 EA park: total loss on a live account, quietly pulled from the market by the vendor, a marketing description with no relation to actual behaviour. Our 1.8/5 is the worst rating we have given so far, and it is deserved. The value of this review lies not in the product but in the number you should check first on the next gold EA: the maximum floating loss.
